The Ballinora and District Community Association Website has been set up to:

  • Share information on the activities of organisations operating in the parish.
  • Help organise local community events & activities.
  • Promote local products & services, as we urge people to buy locally where possible.
  • Provide a link to those who have left our parish over the years, and to those who have come to live among us, who wish to get in touch & become involved.

The history of the parish is now available on this website – go to Community Association page and then Ballinora Heritage. It is narrated by Michael O’Connor.

Between December 2019 and February 2020, BirdWatch Ireland is organising ‘The Irish Garden Bird Survey’. Members of the public are asked to keep a note of the highest number of each bird species visiting their gardens every week for the next 13 weeks.
Gardens are important havens for many bird species and it is important to know how each species is faring.
The survey form can be downloaded from their website and the findings can be submitted online, be e mail or by hard copy.
