Ballinora Camogie Club

Ballinora Camogie Club was first formed in 1932, but reactivated in 1972 after a period of relative inactivity. It caters for under eights to adult players. New members are always very welcome to learn new skills, keep fit, make new friends and have fun! The players train (depending on age) at least once a week. There are competitive Leagues, Championships and Blitz’, as well as friendly games. For more information, contact Club Secretary Claire Dooley at secretary.ballinora.cork.camogie@gaa.ie

The O’Duffy Camogie Cup arrived in Ballinora on Saturday October 10, 2015 accompanied by two Cork senior players – Leah West and Niamh O’Keeffe.  Leah and Niamh presented medals to the u6s and u8s; and there were lots of opportunities for photos.  Leah spoke to the older age groups about her love of camogie, the friendships she made, the commitment of every Cork player on the panel, and she encouraged all the girls to develop their skills and continue playing. Thanks to Kieran Conway and Kevin Mulcahy for organising this visit.  Ballinora agus Corcaigh abu!
