The Irish Red Cross provides voluntary Ambulance Services, Mountain and Lake Search and Rescue Services, and a broad variety of Community Based Health, Social Care and Youth programmes here in Ireland.
The local branch was established in November 1982 and provides practical First Aid courses twice a year for the general public. Training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) are conducted on a regular basis for the Cardiac First Response (CFR) programme in the parish.
The ICA is the largest women’s association in Ireland, with almost 10,000 members and over 500 Guilds across the Country. They cook, travel, craft and socialise!
The aims of the ICA is to provide a welcoming and fun organisation which offers support, friendship, personal development, education and live long learning.
