The Ballinora penal chapel

We’ve published Dermot O’Donovan’s article ‘The 18th Century Penal Chapel in Ballinora’. It was first published in Times Past 2014-2015 Journal of Muskerry Local History Society Volume 11.

It’s an interesting article that covers the Penal Laws and Penal Chapels. As well as looking at the oral and written evidence for a Penal Chapel in Ballinora.

Find out more about Ballinora’s Penal Chapel.
